Question about cpanel website hosting: I know there are many hosting companies and in my country there is no hosting company. There are many RESELLERS.
If i host my website with them — Reseller can view my source code and database or he can only sell cpanel can’t view source code ???
I think Reseller know every client cpanel username/password so how we can say it is secure hosting ??
Question about cpanel website hosting: Im new at hosting my own website and still exploring the cpanel. I have two questions
A: If i have my own IP address, do i need to move my servers to my site name?
B: How do i make my website pages private with a login account? Is there something for it on my cpanel?

Question about cpanel website hosting: I have a phpbb forum website, which I host with HostGator. I am moving to HyphyHost. I’ve moved regular html websites before through ftp, thats pretty simple, just download the files to my computer, then reupload them. But for this site, I have members and a mysql database. I read that you have to backup your database, but I dont know how to do it. I logged in to cpanel, and found where it says "Backup Wizard – Create a Full backup", but I dont know what to do after that, or where the backup goes, and I dont know what to do with the backup once its created. How do I upload it or set it up on the new host (the new host has cpanel too)?
Its asking me for the following info, and I dont know if I have to fill it all in or what:
Backup Destination: (Choices: Home Directory, Remote FTP Server, Secure Copy)
Email Address:
Remote Server (FTP/SCP only):
Remote User (FTP/SCP only):

Question about cpanel website hosting: Is there another way to access my host other then www.mydomain.com:2082. I pingged my website and tried doing it using the IP but did not work.
Thank you all but I now found a way to get in via IP. I went to who.is and gave me my server ip then I used that to log into my Cpanel.
Question about cpanel website hosting: I got a domain name (and hosting) from Urlfreedom.com. So far I have been able to log on to cPanel through the IP, but not the domain name (checkitout.com) how do you set it up to log on on the domain.
Question about cpanel website hosting: I have registered and hosted my JSP/Servlet based website on a Linux Server. I access that via CPanel. It shows me public_html directory. I want to as where should I put classes and deployment descriptor for my servlets? Thanks..

Tomcat is installed on the server. i can confirm the only problem is that i am not able to access class files or even jsps that i have placed in /public_html/www or /public_html/www/WEB-INF/classes folder.
I dont have access to shell account, etc. I just have access to CPanel. so echo $CATALINA_HOME wont be possible i am afraid.
I have talked to the support they said: "You should place your JSP files in public_html/web_inf/JSP folder and place servlets,BEANS and java class files in public_html/web_inf/class folder." that I have but accessing those jsps (placed there) gives 404 error.

i can down load the database and wordpress files but i use the automatic wordpress creator do i just change the Database is it that easy

Also it should be cheap. not very expensive. probably less than Rs. 1000
I need only around 20 or 50 MB.

Question about cpanel website hosting: Hello, I currently have a Dedicated Server that is hosting a website for me, and its upload/download speeds are in the 450 MB/s. Unfortunately, i download large files from various websites and have to be the "middle-man" with my slow download speeds. Judging at my 180 kb/s downloads, and 67 kb/s uploads, I am wondering if there is anyway i can possible transfer the files directly from the Website i am downloading them from, to my website? I have FTP access on my website, a long with Cpanel and various other things (shell access, etc). If you know how to do this, or have any links to where i can receive some information, I’d love for you to explain it to me! Thanks =]
