Its still not working, ALTHOUGH it is working on my friends computer.

I just started with a Virtual-Dedicated Server yesterday, created my cpanel account, created my ftp account, logged in, and uploaded some files to my public_html directory. However, when I try viewing anything I’ve uploaded (by going to http://server-ip/file_name in a browser), I get a "Not found" error! My FTP program says the files are there, and cpanel’s file-manager says they’re there, but my browser can’t view them! Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong?

My index page is still the default cpanel-place-holder page, even though I uploaded a new index.html. My domain name hasn’t been changed yet to the new server, so I’m trying to view my site by typing in its IP address into the browser, rather than its domain name.

Additionally if it helps, cpanel said:

"The hostname (box.my-domain.com) resolves to . It should resolve to "my-ip". Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the ‘A’ entry in zone file for the domain."

Does anyone know *FREE* website host that will let me use PHP files and SQL Files?

I keep finding sites that wont let me create databases from scratch by using something like:

All the webhosts I seem to find make me use cPanel to create tables and databases? So any webhosts that let me use them from scratch?
